The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas met at 8:00 A. M.
in regular session at the Yegular meeting place in the City Hall, the
following members thereof being present, to wit:
Mayor Pink fir. Parrish, Commissioners J. H. Hankins, A. V. Weaver,
J. 0. Jones, W. S. Posey, City Manager W. H. Perkinson, and City
Secretary G. W. McCleary.
Upon motion made by Mr. Jones, eeconded by Mr. Weaver, carried unani-
mously, the valuation on lots 19 and 20 in Block 34, 0. T. was re-
duced to $1000.00 for the year 1924.
The Board of Equalization immediately went into the matter of hearing
those present regarding the value of their property assessed for 1927
City taxes. There was a large number present and the Board heard all
that appeared before them, and remained in session until 6:00 P. M.,
except that an hour was taken off for lunch from 12:00 to 1:00.
Upon motion made by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Weaver, the City Com-
mission recessed until 8:00 A. M. Friday, August 26, 1927.
