McCrummen and Judge Geo. R. Bean were present and discussed the proposed paving plans of the City Engineer for the paving of 19th Street at its intersection with Avenue P. at which place there is an offset. Said plans showed a corner cut off of each of said parties lots for street purposes. It was the general opinion of all interested parties that a friendly adjustment of the matter can be made and on motion of Mr. Posey, the City Engineer was instructed to set his stakes so that it can be seen just how much land is needed off of each of said lots so that there will be a basis on which to settle the matter to the satisfaction of those interested. Judge Geo. R. Bean, who owns another lot on 19th Street located at Avenue Q protested that the benefits in enhanced valuation would not be equal to the proposed assessments, and he said his benefits would not exceed $100.00.
