City Commission met in called session at 9 A.I.I. for the purpose o f appointing a City
Secretary and Clerk with the following present:
Mayor Pink L. Parrish, Commissioners J.O.Jones. A.V. ;'Deaver, J.H.Hankirs and W.S. Posey,
Superintendent of Utilities, W.H.Perkinson, City Secretary, F.'d. ;roce.
nbsent: None.
The following applications were presented before the Commissioners: J.B. Alen J.V.
Spilg� s, Frazier Stevens, Ray L. Showalter, L.L.James, A.B. Ellis, 3.N. McCleary, J.F.
Henderson, Frank X. Sheperd, B.C. Young, Dan W. Powers, L.D. 'Rankin, S.;. Silson.
After some consideration, ballots were passed and tabulated all voting for r. 1. McCleary.
Motion made by IVIr. Posey, seconded by Mr. Weaver, carried unanimously that C. �i. McCleary
be elected City Secretary and Clerk at a salary of $200.00 per month, beginning March 1,
>,he to make a surety bond in the amount of $25,000, the City paying premium on bond.
Motion made by Iiir.,leaver, seconded by Mr. Hankins, carried unanimously, that the City
Commission be adjourned.
