Upon motion made by I.Ir. Posey and seconded by 14r. Blair the following
Bus Franc'ise was granted to Bowen Bros. for a period of five years. --

OF LAYING TRACKS UPON AND ACROSq FIFTH STREET AND MINTAINING
THE SAME: -
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Lubbock,
Texas.
Secion 1: That the Pecos & arorthern Texas Railirjay Company, a
corporation, and its Lessee the Panhandle & Santa Fe Railway Company, a cor-
poration, and its successors and assigns, be and they are hereby given the
right, power and privilege of locating, building, erecting, constructing,
and properly maintaining an industrial track vvitn the necessary turnouts,
switch stands, and other necessary appliances con-ected there -with, upon �tind
over Fifth Street from the Right of Way of said Railway Company to H Street
between Blocks Nos. 8 and 24, in the original Town of Lubbock, Texas.
Section 2: That this ordinance shall become effective from and
after its passage and approval.
Passed and adopted this 16th. da o7' August, A. D. 1925.
Approved this 16th. day :_f August A. D. 1925.

By motion made by Mr. Posey and seconded by I?r. Jones the tax rate for 1925
was Fifteen Dollars on each One Thousand Dollars. Said motion passed by
un.n.nimous vote.

granted permission to pave the alley in Blk. 104, the property owners to
pay all expenses ,;ith the exception of en -in - :,rind ind drainage.

authorized to sign contract wit1•. the Railroad Company for light line
crossing right-of-i'my going to the new well.

unanimous vote tKa't the City put in ride walks on the ''lest Cit;;r limit
boundary line between Ilain and 14th. St.

animous vote that Morning Side Addition be put in City Limits.
By motion made by 11r. Jones and seconded by I.Ir. Blair,T.s. Ruby was author-
ized to advertise for pump for new well, al::o , advertise for fuel oil and
lubric,.ting oil contract for the next twelve r^onths.

authority to hire two extra firemen bevinnin,- Oct. 15th.
