The City Commission met in Special session with the following business men of
Lubbock.
S.C.Wilson, '-'.J.BryRn, "i.Dickinson, Stephers, O.L.Slaton, J.T.Tnmon,
Terry, J.T.Ilutchinson, J.A.Rix, Geo. R. Bean, J.T.Price, M.L.Price, 7I.B.Atkins,
The mayor stated that the object of the meeting was to see What the brus.iness men
of the to,,rn thought best to do in regards to the stre7ats_of the UitV Upon a motion
made by Mr. Slaton, duly second.edy it erras move that the City Commission call an
elecii.on at once to raise the Tax unit from �1.50 per 100 valuation to 1'2.50
and if carried to order an election to vote bonds for he pavement of the streets
and putting in storm sewers.
After several good tabs the mee':ing adjourned. �
