SPECIAL MEET] IIG.
The City Commission met at a Special Meeting witri th- following present:
L.H. Simpson, Mayor Pto-Tem, Commissioners Geo. U. Volffarth, W.S.iosey, J.J.
Jones, R.A. Sowder, City Attorney.
J.C. Morris salary was discussed, he wanting a raise of 1'25.00 per month
and by a MOTTON made by Mr. Wolffarth seconded by Mr. Posey Mr. 1-dorris was dis-
charged from the City Police Force. Said Motion was passed by a unanimousr�vote.
By a Motion made by Mr. Posey, seconded by Mr. Jones, J.A. Hyatt was
appointed City Marshall and fire Marshall of the City of Lubbock, Texas, to -re-
ceive the Salary of '125.00 per month to begin November llth, 1920. Said Motion
passed by a unanimous -tote.
By a Motion made by Mr. Posey seconded by Mr. Jones the application of
E.V. Daffern for City Night Watchman was accepted by a Unanimous vote, salary to
be for' 125.00 per month to begin the llth day of November, 1920.
The Secretary was ordered to notify mod. Hutson Night watchman and J.C.
Morris City M-rshall that their services were no longer needed by the City.
