The City Council of the City of Lubbock,Texas met in special session on the 15th of October,2018,
at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center, 1501 Mac Davis Lane, in the Civic Center Banquet Hall,
Lubbock,Texas at 6:00 p.m.

City Manager W. Jarrett Atkinson; City Secretary Rebecca Garza; City Attorney

Absent: Mayor Daniel M. Pope; Council Member Shelia Patterson Harris
This was a public presentation of the draft 2040 Comprehensive Plan for the City of Lubbock. A
quorum of Council Members attended and participated in discussions during the meeting in which
the members considered the following topics as shown below.

Mayor Pro Tern Jeff Griffith gave opening remarks and welcomed all in attendance.
1.2. Comments from John Zwiacher, Chair of the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee
John Zwiacher, Chair of the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee, gave comments regarding
the draft 2040 Comprehensive Plan.
1.3. Presentation by Dan Sefko,with Freese& Nichols
Dan Sefko, with Freese &Nichols, gave a presentation regarding the draft 2040 Comprehensive
Plan.

AJ Fawver. Director of Planning and Zoning, gave comments regarding information Oil upcoming
events.
