The City Council of the City of Lubbock,Texas met in special session, on the 1st of October,2018, in
City Council Chambers,City Hall, 162513th Street, Lubbock,Texas at 10:00 a.m.

Present: Mayor Daniel M. Pope; Mayor Pro Tem Jeff Griffith; Council Member Randy
Christian; Council Member Latrelle Joy; Council Member Steve Massengale; City
Manager W. Jarrett Atkinson; City Secretary Rebecca Garza; City Attorney Chad
Weaver
Absent: Council Member Juan A. Chadis; Council Member Shelia Patterson Harris
Note: City Council addressed agenda items in the fallowing order:

1. 1. The City of Lubbock's City Council will hear and discuss a presentation and announcement by
City Staff and City consultants,Freese and Nichols, concerning the release of PlanLubbock 2040, a
final draft of the city's comprehensive plan. The City Council will take no action.
Mayor Daniel M. Pope made opening remarks and gave comments regarding PlanLubbock 2040.
He announced that there would be an open house with more information on Monday, October 15,
2018.
AJ Fawver,Director of Planning, also gave comments regarding PlanLubbock 2040.
Mayor Pope gave closing remarks.
10:16 A.M. CITY COUNCIL ADJOURNED
There being no further business to come before Council, Mayor Pope adjourned the
meeting.
