The City Council of the City of Lubbock,Texas met in special session on the 14th of November,
2017,at the Overton Hotel& Conference Center,2322 Mac Davis Lane, Sunset Ballroom,
Lubbock,Texas at 11:30 a.m.

Present: Mayer Daniel M. Pope; Council Member Juan A. Chadis; Council Member Karen
Gibson; Council Member Jeff Griffith; Council Member Steve Massengale; Council
Member Shelia Patterson Harris; City Secretary Rebecca Garza; First Assistant City
Attorney Mitch Satterwhite
Absent: Mayor Pro Tem Latrelle Joy; City Manager W. Jarrett Atkinson

Lubbock Economic Forecast for 2017-2018. No action will be take by the City Council.
Invocation
Mark Griffin,member of the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance (LEDA) Board and
Market Lubbock, Inc.Board of Directors, led the invocation.
Welcome
Tim Collins,Chairman of the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance (LEDA)Board and
Market Lubbock, Inc. Board of Directors, gave welcome remarks.
State of Business
John Osborne,President and CEO of Lubbock Economic Development Alliance(LEDA)and
Market Lubbock, Inc.,presented an economic review of FY 2016-2017.

There being no further business to come before Council, the meeting was adjourned.
The November 14, 2017 Special City Council Meeting minutes were approved by the City Council on
the 7th day of December, 2017.
